Pottery Throwing Experience

From £60 per person

A 2.5 hr wheel-throwing session for small groups of up to four people, with a wheel each. 

 

Learn to centre on the wheel and throw a pot on the pottery wheel, then paint for firing. We have three electric wheels and one genuine Leach wheel (a treadle wheel).  You will have the opportunity to switch between them to have a the amazing experience of throwing your pot in a traditional way. Complete beginners are welcome. 

What’s included and provided

  • High quality clay: Studio clay, all glazing and materials provided

  • Expert guidance: Personalised supervision from Sarah

  • Up to 4 people per session: Get hands on support in a small group. Booking is essential, whether you’re coming solo or with friends

  • Tools: All essential tools and equipment are provided 

  • Pottery wheels: We have three electric wheels and one genuine Leach wheel (a treadle wheel).  You will have the opportunity to switch between them to have a the amazing experience of throwing your pot in a traditional way

You’re in expert (messy) hands

Whether you’ve done pottery throwing before or are a complete beginner wanting to try it out,  our pottery throwing experience is a great way to learn how to throw your pot in a traditional way.

Spend a  2.5 hour session  making order out of chaos, making something beautiful, and getting your hands dirty in the process. Sounds like the perfect way to spend an afternoon if you ask me.

  3. Choose how many people will be in your session (maximum 4 people). You can choose between having a private session or sharing your session with another small group.

  4. Once you've purchased your ticket, you'll get an email with all the important information you'll need for our day.
